Example of 4 day Walking Holiday

An introduction to the beautiful countryside of this part of the Aude. A long accompanied walk (4-5 hours) on Day 2 through the hills of La Piège, followed by a shorter walk (1.5 hours) on the morning of Day 3 through the vineyards and to the Pic des 3 Seigneurs around Alaigne in the Razès. Both walks are of moderate difficulty with some short, steep ascents and descents.

Day 1

Arrive at La Chevaline. Afternoon free.

17:00 - Welcome meeting, drinks and discussion of activities.

19:30 – Dinner*

Day 2

07:30-09:00 Breakfast

09:30 – Leave for starting point of walk. Picnic lunch.

16:30 – Wine tasting at local vineyard

19:30 - Dinner*

Day 3

08:00-09:30 – Breakfast

10:00 – Leave for starting point of second walk.

13:00 – Return to La Chevaline for lunch

14:30 – A short walk (1 hour) in the countryside around Fanjeaux     

19:30 – Dinner*

Day 4

07:00-08:30 Breakfast

08:00 – Morning Free

The price includes transportation to and from the events indicated in the schedule, walk maps and information, meals as indicated in the schedule, including picnic on Day 3, and gite accommodation. It does not include flights. Airport pick up and set down can be arranged. 

* Dinner includes ½ litre of wine or beer per person.

Guests should bring walking boots or sturdy footwear, rain gear and a sweater.  Backpacks are also a good idea if you have them.
